Family Ties — Foothills Community Church

It is exciting to know that Foothills Community Church does not exist in a vacuum, but is part of a growing network of churches in California, Arizona, and Nevada, affiliated with the Friends Southwest. Friends churches have been around for more than 350 years and have made significant contributions to the body of Christ. We appreciate the help and encouragement given to us by FSW.

As you may gather from the absence of “Friends” in our name, we did not start this church merely for those who desire a Friends church. We want to be church for the entire community, which includes those who may never have heard of “Friends” before.

The most important information to know about a church is what it believes. The following is a summary of our core beliefs:

We believe the Bible to be inspired and infallible, and as such, the supreme authority in faith and life.

We believe there is one God, eternally existing in three persons, Father, Son (Jesus Christ) and Holy Spirit.

We believe Jesus Christ, by offering Himself on the cross, paid the penalty of sin for each person, and all who receive Him by faith are born of the Holy Spirit, and thereby, become children of God.

We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.

We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.

We believe our purpose for living is to glorify God.
